Do the catfish spawn every year on the north or south end of the lake? Every year do they follow the same pattern... as in do they return to their same spawning ground? Do the blue and channels spawn at the same time?

Channel cat start in mid May over there just south of 155bridge on the right bank on the first long point out front of the house on point ,I've cup g by a ton of fish there pm or call me if you need more info .Hope this helps

there will be channel cats all over every rock pile in the lake come may like stubby said. Villages, point on the main lake down by the airport, over against the east shore south of ledbetter and so on.

The little cut through going into Flat Creek from main lake had something going on yesterday. Catfish were thrashing the water all along the bank in the grass. I took some video of it also. I will show Stubby today.

Pretty sure that those were carp spawning. Most were carp but some were gar I caught one of the gar and used him as bait.

I saw a bunch of catfish also. I am no expert and water temperature wasn't right for the catfish. Our graph showed 64 degrees. But in the shallower water, it was probably a little warmer

If you find spawning carp and gar you can usually find catfish around,them feeding on the spawn. Have caught many nice cats fishing in and around spawning carp

Me and a buddy are putting our yaks in by the 315 bridge early friday morning. Hoping to catch some cats. We are both new to East Texas. I haven't gotten out yet on the main body of Palestine. Just in the upper Kickapoo area, as well as the neches. Anyone got any tips on where to find cats around the 315 bridge?

I catch them bass fishing pretty often all around there. Any tree where the water turkey's roost will have a few under it
