Got there at 9am fished hard and long only manage to catch an under left at around 2:30 not much action, i was told the bite was good in the morning for a little bit then stopped most I saw on a stringer was 5.

It's a well known fact of crappie fishing that the bite stopped 30 minutes before you arrived and starts again 30 minutes after you leave. So take camping gear and stay there for a few days. They can't wait forever to eat.

Probably you were fishing too deep. I jig around 6' to 8' outside at night. I did catch few at 4' deep last time when I was there. Also depending where you are fishing, around the "corner", you man have to jig much deeper Thanks for the tip! Now I know for next time. Shame I didnt catch anything because it was such a nice night too.

Wednesday night I personally caught 50 fish one keeper. Lol.
Last night only got 10 1 keeper.
Thursday was good they are starting to get them off minnows more.
Nothing big over the last few days.

Last night was kind of slow after 4am things got good. I got a 1.61. Buddy got a pole from me dropped down and got a 1.41 then not 3 min later he was inside dropped down and got the board fish 1.51. Then before I left he got a 1.30. Good fish are starting to move in. In the AM a guy got a 1.59 out of the blue room. This is a stringer from Wednesday night off the main point.  This is the big fish stringer.  This is the 1.59

Id take them crappie over the sandies but it should be picking up soon for the sandies. And when it happens hold on to your rod LOL.

Sorry they still no where to be found. I saw maybe 5 this year so far. Well... they are somewhere to be found. I just prefer to find them there at the at the barge. Guess I'll need to come out there soon and get em stirred up soon.
