thanks for all the replies caught a 8.06 and a 6.01 today on the trusty old big game and wrestled them through some tough stuff on rayburn

McCoys Mean Green is a copolymer line that is very strong and has low memory. It is way better than Big Game which I would agree is a very good monofilament line but a copolymer is better. Try McCoys Mean Green and you won't go back to anything else.

Bass Pro Excel.. Super tough, super strong, doesn't pigtail( no memory) and cheap!!!! Buy a giant spool for $10. I refuse to buy another brand.
