Like Capt. Jack said in Pirates of the Carribean, "If there were no survivors, where do you think the stories come from" or something like that.
In this scenario it would be "If there are no Black Panthers, where did the term black panthers come from. Just because there's no confirmed "black" mountain lion, surely doesn't mean there aren't any. I guess there's not any mountain lions in east texas either?
Or no Paeton Creek "it" down around Bay City.
Anyone heard of it?

Never heard of it. I'd like to though. Think I'll google it and see what pops up.

There are mountain lions in east Texas, central Texas, west Texas (of course), and south Texas. Oh yea north Texas too.
What I want to hear about is this paeton creek "it".

Lets hear it.

Black panthers are real. There just aren't any around here. Leopards and Jaguars have been know to be black. But there has never been a recorded case of a black mountain lion.

Brother Sharman, I have no cause to tell you a story of any kind that is not true, I am telling you though that last year, at the top of our driveway, as my wife was going to work at 6:30 in the morning, she did indeed see a black panther, mountain lion or what ever you wish to call it! I saw it's tracks in the dirt & it's feet are almost the size of my hand. It was so black , it was blue looking she said, with a long tail, he was about as tall as a baby calf! We have heard him screaming several times in the middle of the night, it will put goosebumps on the spine too! I am one to love a good BS story, but as God as my witness, this is not ONE OF THEM STORIES!!!! The Big Foot stories, I don't not beleive them nor do I beleive them, I need to see more proof than any that has been presented as of yet!

Keep your powder dry & don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes!!

Huh, all of these jokes are really funny. Joke about this creature (BigFoot) all you want but he's out there. I've got proof of his yell but won't get into that. Sometimes I think he maybe prowling around behind my house. Sometimes, I'm afraid to take out the trash....Believe me..You will smell him before you see him.......

Creeper, what part of Texas are you in? Are you near any riverbottoms or creek bottoms?

The Peyton Creek "It". South of Bay City Texas, FM 521. Something down there that is big, walks on two legs. We were duck hunting, me, my dad and a family friend. We could here something in the swamp behind us, again walking on two legs, we stood up with the spot light and never saw anything.
Several years later, me, my friend and his wife for canoeing down there, heard the same splashing over a levie. We thought hogs so we went to see. Again, nothing. Never seen it, only heard it. From the sound of the splashes it was big, couldn't have missed it, but we never saw it.
