I would use the Log Cabin ramp, or the Caney Creek public ramp.

First of all great catch, and well deserved you took time to go out not to do the usual follow the bite or where everyone else is fishing or catching. Last but not least bud some of the same type scenarios from your bass tourney days will pay off looks like it already is.

Thanks for the helpful report. Glad you had a great day. I'm gonna give it a shot Tuesday or Wednesday. Probably try the area beside 175 if theres enough water, and around our POA dock and some friends docks. I'll let you know how I do. Again, Thanks.

Thanks, Pat. One thing I've always liked about finding your own fish is that you may find something different than everyone else has, and it may be a good long term honey hole for you. I've noticed that you definitely tend to go your own way, too.

Give us a good Benbrook story. Tough as it often was for me, I miss that lake.

That US175 area has been producing some shallow fish for weeks. That's one of the things that made me think that it had to be time for something a bit further down the lake to start giving up shallow fish.

I had thought about launching my kayak in that area, but I had no idea how crowded it gets, and what a mess it turns into with all those vehicles driving in the mud. I crossed it off my list.

Good luck and give us a report.
