My first, 10-2, was a very light tap and pull on a shakey head. They second, 11-5, was a pretty normal thump on a big Texas rigged worm. Both times I swung for the rafters and the rod tip did not follow! In both cases I had fished for hours with no bites at all. However at Fork it only takes 1 bite to improve your entire day.

I've caught 5 total. 1 when I was 12 or 13 years old. 2 more came on the same day punching matted grass 7 years ago. Number 4 was at Falcon and hit a deep diving crankbait. I thought I hooked a gar or a catfish when I hooked her. To this day I've never had a bass pull that hard. Number 5 came last march flipping a super speed craw to boat docks. Fish was out infront of the particular dock in 10 fow and absolutely knocked 2 foot of slack in the line when she sucked the bait in. I remember setting the hook and telling my grandfather in the back boat, that there was no wAy that fish was a bass. I set the hook with a 7'6" ex heavy flipping stick with 25lb Flouro and the rod nor fished moved on the hookset. Literally like hooking a brick wall. She stayed down and swam in a circle for a few seconds before coming straight up and jumping. That's when something along the lines of "oh sh**, get the net and get it now" came out my mouth.
