Pelican are you fishing this one? I know you've had some amazing days out there.

It's not that big of lake! We'll all be fishing by someone I'm sure. I agree that we'll see some fat sacks out there.

Stop predicting good stringers guys!!! That's bad luck for us LOL!!!

I'll be the skeptic. I know some guys have done very well prefishing the last week out there, but I've fished it enough in the spring to know how hit or miss that place can be. I've been there on numerous trips when the weather and pressure and water levels were perfect, yet the bite was painfully slow. It happens. Those fish will be heavily pressured all week with us prefishing and the normal spring break traffic. Day of, there could be A LOT more boats out there than I suspect most of us have ever seen on that lake. I've seen it pretty darn busy before, and it was during the final weekend of spring break. Many limits will be caught, and some good fish will be caught as well, but don't get ahead of yourselves now fellas!!! The water will most likely still be in the mid fifties! Yes, lots of people will catch fish, but remember it's a 14 inch minimum.

I'll call it like I did on Lewisville. "I'm getting skunked."

I've never zeroed at Purtis Creek, but I've worked my tail off, for a full day, for 3 or 4 fish. They seem to turn on, and off in a very short period.

like the man says...if you're swimming in the ocean and get bitten by a shark, its not a shark attack. You're in THEIR neighborhood. If you're at home in your shower, turn around and a shark is in there with you...THAT'S a shark attack

Im really hoping this is the tournament I remove that goose egg from beside my name in the points race. The bite overall has improved since Lewisville. My prediction is to win a prize you'll have to hook up unlike Gv and Ll where you hoped they drew your number.

I saw a post somewhere that since the front gate would not be opened until 7am that they would have registration at the gate so someone can open it.

I fished late yesterday and water temp was 56 to 57 degrees near RV and primitive camping area. I had no luck and only heard of a crappie and one LMB dink caught.
