Wow that's all I have to say. Please stop jacking other people's post! Start your own. But it's good to keep the post on the top of the forum.

It's GRIFFIN with an "I" and what about the PAA? Banned? They're pros right? Fishing is fun, it's a fun bait to throw and there's no reason to compare amateur tourneys to professional tournaments. If your dream is to be a "Pro" then you're either filthy rich, well connected, or you sleep a lot bc for most it's always just going to be a dream. No reason to start trying to run amateur tourneys by professionals rules... it just creates a mess and takes some fun out of being a weekend angler. Personally the rig wears me out so I'm not an advocate I just don't think banning successful methods of catching fish is good for the sport.

CGriffinMansfield please please forgive me for misspelling your name, it had to be my smart phone with the auto correct feature that caused that error and I'm so sorry hopefully you won't lose any sleep over this tonight. As far as the PAA goes I have no idea but if it's not banned then I feel it's coming soon seeing as the majority of the people involved fish either elite series or flw tour. I'm not going to ridicule you or dis your opinion, it's yours and although I disagree with it I respect it unlike you chose to do with mine. I could make this interesting and assume all sorts of things about you possibly your a pro golfer, or a trash man with 10 kids and a wife who watches Judge just all day, truth is I could careless, so assume what you choose. This is a forum open for discussion and I will continue to express my opinion as I hope you will yours it is our right!

We must know each other or you stalk me... strange! Lol... If I don't openly advocate for the fun of the sport then it will be people such as yourself who move for a ban on trebles on a crank or make it illegal to weigh a Bass with eggs in it... things will get all Obama'ish and to regulated. You're right its all opinions but when politics get involved in my weekend tourneys then that's when the pace slows down and the sport suffers. I say throw what you want, catch as many as you can, have fun, and not make it so obvious that you're tired of getting beat by people throwing the a rig lol! Like I said, host an A Rig only tourney and count how many people zero, you'll see my point that it still takes skill. In the meantime I'll keep cranking and covering gas money... hopefully lol!

Not banned in flw just limited on hooks. Ok guys everybody has their own opinion on this and I see both ways and understand either way. BUT don't get on a topic when it's something u have won tournaments on and has been throwing it this year as well in tournaments. That's all in saying.

Wrong, its banned by FLW this season http://www.flwoutdoors.com/fishing-articles/blog/155250/farewell-to-the-alabama-rig/PAA banned it shortly after BASS did. Is still legal in AAA events such as the bassmaster open and FLW rayovac series but that will change in the future, and I would guess that will continue to trickle down. California had a rule limiting hooks on the a-rig.

Apparently it's against the rules to have an opinion on this topic that goes against the grain. The post in the bass fishing section pretty much wanting to stone the TD for banning this was reduclious. If you don't like the rule and feel without the a rig you lose your competitive edge then don't fish it. I can assure you I can catch fish on the a rig just as good as the next guy and I'll admit yes I have won money with it. Is it a magical bait that catches fish every cast? No, but when you come across a school of fish there's nothing better. It's changed bass fishing all together and changed tournaments if you haven't seen that then your blind. My post is my opinion and my support for the TD and the deciscion he made, I didn't post on here to bash or be little anyone like donkey or c Griffen chose to try and do. Here is a video some might have seen some maybe not but it's worth a watch. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ybFuhqz6ms Got to love the G-Man
Just pitch and Grind you never know when you are going to get LUCKY !!!!!!!!

And I also must add. I looked back at the thread and can't see anywhere the TD ever got brought up about anything?!?
