Has anyone had a problem with the touch screen on an HDS unit? I have to put pressure on the power cable either up or down to get the screen to work properly. I have tried 3 different cables and all the same. As long as I put a little pressure on the cable the screen works fine. Let it go and the screen will not respond to touch. Help! If you can P.S. I have updated the software and just got the unit Yesterday.
Work amazes me, I can sit and watch it for hours.

Ok guys going to update my bird units and think I may give lowrance a try again after my latest up date making my units [censored],, so going with a HD12 on the back and a 9 on the front any suggestions on what I will need to network these units and any extra add on? shut up and fish shot me a pm on prices please and thanks for any advice guys I am new to lowrance units as I have been running birds for some time now. Brad you are going to love the new units!! I would just use an Ethernet cable between the two units UNLESS you plan to add the Point 1 antenna. The Point 1 requires NMEA 2000 and if you are going that way you might as well go all NMEA 2000. And if you are thinking of the new Spotlite transducer, you'll also need NMEA 2000

Sounds to me like your problem may be internal to the Touch and not a software problem from your upgrade. I'd call customer service.

Archer, did you do a screen calibration? Try that first and if it doesn't work either take it back or send it in.

I suspose most of you guys got notification from Lowrance that the Spotlight and Sonichubs are now shipping and there is now a new software update available for download with the software to operate the new options. I know, I'm sure excited about getting the Spotlock for my boat soon!

Can you share way points through the Ethernet on the HDS units or do you have to use NEMA?

Other then using the gauge features on the HDS what other advantages is there to NEMA? I'm not worried about Hub or Radar.

HDS 12 Touch problem. Unit about 2 months old. Sonar just quits working sometimes. If structure is up with sonar that quits working also. If map is up that continues to work. Any ideas? I can usually get it to start working again by doing a restore factory defaults. Sometimes it works for a while without going off but always goes off at some point. Screens just go blank.
Appreciate any help.

Mine would lose bottom so on DI it would turn all blue and white and say depth was 2ft. Would reboot and sometimes it would come back, sometimes not. Sent it in and Lowrance tested it, ended up failing. They sent me a new one. Call them up and at least start an incident report and see what happens.

Ordered the Spotlight transducer yesterday and it shows to ship early next week! Sure hope it performs as advertised! Anyone else have one yet to give us a review?

When hooking up the nema 2000 to the point one do youalso hook the nema to a power source, or just to the graph?
I am confused how the nema works.
I have a hds 2-10"(con) and a hds 2-8" (bow). They are currntly connected through either net cable to my LSS-1. I want to install a point 1 to the 10" and the 8" t(wo seperate point-1's). Do i need to connect both to the nema and link all together or just connect one to each graph.
