I haven't put in the kind of time catfishing that some of you have. But I can say that my electronics is my best tool. I find fish Iam targeting with my HD8 and can most of the time know if they are actively feeding witch saves time . As long as you take the time to learn the unit you cant spend enough on one. Hummingbirds are great and so are the lowrance Hds , as brother Terry said you will still fish your same spots, but it will help you on new water like you couldnt imagine. Good luck.

Side imaging has improved my shallow fishing a lot. Worth every penny.

I'm sorry, but the use of side imaging is probably....if not the greatest catfish catching tool invented.
