Would y'all say that a majority are being caught inside, the crack, or outer brush?
I just got laid off so I can't convince my wife to let me go and pay to get in unless I can bring home a good stringer...

Day time, inside fishing is better. At night, outside is better. They are not in large numbers by any means. You have to go around, try different spots to find them.

If you cannot fish the barge without your wife approval, you may go to 2499 bridge on HC, you can always catch some there this time of the year.

Thanks all. I'm not as familiar with banking spots for crappie. I have tried along the greenbelt at 380 but can't seem to find them. I hope to finish build my canoe soon so I can get out on the water but for now the barge is the best option that I have found.

I was just there people catching them not a whole bunch 3-6 on stringers I brought 2 home.

Sorry just saw the post. From me talking to the guy working he said they killed it. Buddy left with 10. The guy working said he saw over 50 keeper. Know there was a lot of ppl here so don't know what that works out to each person.

Give us 3 days of sun and it will be on !!

Well dam this new job is getting in the way of fishing!
But that ok I am sure in the next month the barge will produce fish them sandies just may pay a visit and when they do FISH ON.
I want some crappie but it seems that it is hit and miss now. I will say that the crappie I had seen before going back to work was nice ones. Keep posting Mike we all like to see the photos and reports, Now back to work......

Don't forget some jigs they work to. They have some at the barge if you need some.

Was there from 2pm to 7:30pm. Didn't see to many keepers caught between then. There was a Stringer of about 12 or so that left about 5 but he was there since morning. Another stringer of about 7 nice keepers that was being fished by 3 guys and quite a few others had 1 maybe 2.

Was not there to comment about the morning but the fish were a bit productive as dark was setting in but still nothing too exciting.
