We have had and are continuing to have wave after wave of arctic cold fronts here in NE Texas and combined with little rainfall, the lakes are cold and low. Do you all think it will delay the 'Spring Spawn' ??

not very likely. Every year we get really anxious about how the weather is going to affect the spawn but it rarely causes much of a delay. Water temp is only part of the equation.

A little news flash. It is still February, which means it is still winter time. You always get warm spells in February but it doesn't mean spring has sprung. Have patience, spring will get here and the fish will spawn. You will always have a few fish move up early and then get pushed back off. I guarantee that by the first of April there will be 5000 bass on bed on Fork with 20000 people trying to catch them.

I get like this every year too, mother nature teases us with some good weather then pulls a 180, kind of makes you nuts. Before we know it we will be complaining about the 100+ degree weather and not the cold!

OMG, man that's right. Just getting my rig this last April, I fished or TRIED, this last summer during the 'dog days of summer' in our notorious scalding heat. Man, quickly learned from that, go early and leave before noon!! Unless your that dedicated or like me, learning - 'I'm cooking here' !!! I get like this every year too, mother nat ure teases us with some good weather then pulls a 180, kind of makes you nuts. According to this map, its typically not till mid March through beginning of April until you see the spawn. I would take advantage of the pre-spawn cruisers, about to bust at the seams and are looking for food in the state of flux between shallow and deep.

Last year, I remember fishing Fork in April with 54 degree water.
This year won't be like that.

Every year we get this brought up and it never really changes. Not all fish move up and spawn at the same time. Some get it with early and some wait until May to do the deed. We had fish on beds in our pond last year in late May. It's nature and hard to predict sometimes..
