Ya, we bought gap insurance for the first time on the last new SUV we bought........haven't had to use it and I hope we don't. I see that he did say try, but I still think it's toooo dangerous to try it!! I would be sick too, if I saw it happen, but I would just have everyone stay back and call for help!

So how much is gap insurance? I am self employed and with all the money that I pay for health, business, auto, etc., I feel like I am insurance poor. If I get all the insurance that my agent wants me to have, I end up sending him almost all my money.

I am thinking about getting licensed to supplement my business, and hopefully reduce my personal monthly insurance expense.

i'm sure there are some insurance guys on here...... wouldn't three additional vehicles and trailers far exceed the caps on a typical policy ? (50-100-50)

I just purchased a 2005 Silverado 2 weeks ago, gap insurance cost me $258.00. Not to bad to fill the price gap if something happens. I feel bad for all the guys that lost their equipment.

Hey guy's,
You see the first P/U in the pic. that was my 2004 Titan and boat trailer. We came in at 8:30 that night and found it like that. The deputy that was there hooked up my trailer and pulled my boat out of the water. Then he took us home. The next day we went back down to the lake and got a beter look at what happened. Man you talk about a shock!!!! But thank God nobody was hurt. But I will say this, you will probably never see me park next to a FORD ever again. If any of you have recalls on your Fords for shorts get them in and don't park your vehicle in the garage or next to your other vehicles. They have had alot of vehicles burn down houses because of this. It may be a while before I get to use my boat again, but I thank God for my health and my life!!!

gimsfish,

Sorry to hear about your loss. Hope you can get back in a truck quickly and back out on the water to erase some bad memories.

FIrst of all, fireman do not work for insurance companies. We put out fires and save lives. That is what I do. When God lets us we bring them back from the dead. I go in on fires and do everything I can as fast as I can to putit out. In a house fire I come out dead tired and dripping out sweat. You tell me I work for insurance companies? If I did I would be rich for all the stupid people out there but I stay busy for all the stupid people out there. I work for you. I guess you did not see what happened on 9-11. If "WE" worked for the insurance companies we would have sat downstairs and just watched. Fireman and Policeman die every year trying to help you and you say that we do not care? mad mad mad

Why in the world would one think firemen work for insurance companies? It makes no sense.
