I know the city used to put on a tournament every spring and it was a cash payout. Which got a pretty good turnout. Kinda hard for anglers to fork out cash when all they get is a gift card that's donated to the city. Kinda sounds like an obamacare thing to me!!

It should have been kept an individual tournament like last year when I fished it. Being a team tourney now, I'm going to pass. Looks like you have to place in the top 2 to even come out ahead, and that's even if you like to shop at Cabela's. Not very good odds for a solo competitor. Plus, I don't like the fact that I could never get a straight answer on who the money is benefiting since the payout is only donated Cabela's gift cards.

It's just an odd format to see with all the other tournaments that get posted in this section.

TXTT has an event on Texoma on the 12th if you're looking for a big payout... If you're just looking for a fun little tourney that's affordable and close to home then go win this one and take the $200 gift card and sell it on the forum! There I just fixed everything for everyone, except for the Obamacare part, I'm not sure where the money goes but I can imagine part of it helps maintain the ramp I use that's pretty nice compared to other lakes. Also, come fish with me and Fishinfellow on Thursday nights, it's fun and competitive and 100% cash payout!

I had a few new comers to the area last week, they were looking for local tournaments, i told them about yours on Thursday. I was asked about the fish caught in the lake, I showed them some recent pics and they were blown away. I don't think they expected a lake to produce the bass this one does.
