How many of you guys fish with partners that are constantly pranking each other? and what are the stories, after reading several threads on bad partners it made me thankful "sometimes" for the guys I fish with. ie; So we're at Amistad first morning and I get ready to throw my $7.00 Strike King spinnerbait and it keeps goin goin goin gone! "Laughter" line cut about 15 feet in, or how about when he nets a nice 5 lb'r plus and accidentally drops the fish in the water without weighing or letting you at least hold the dang thing, saying "my bad it slipped" or better yet we have a mutual friend that hasn't been bass fishing for that many years and he sets the hook on a nice fish and sets again and again cuzz the drag won't hold and he's having a melt down cuzz there must be something wrong with his new curado real "DRAG" maybe???!!!.

Those are funny to read. But I have to say each one of those would piss me off pretty bad. Maybe im a bad sport. Thats kind of like your buddy pushing you the lake with your cell phone in you pocket. Keep it harmless like maybe putting lake water in my beer but dont screw up my day!

If my partner and I spent as much time fishing as we do pranking each other, there is no telling the amount of fish we would catch. Mostly harmless stuff like tossing a fish back in the water at an angle so it splashes the other one or saving all of our used plastics from the day and stuffing them in the other's tackle box. Best one pulled on me was on a hot summer day. We were headed in for the day and i went to back the trailer down to load the boat. While away from the boat my buddy poured out my soft drink and filled the can with lake water. After loading the boat I go to take a big drink and all i get is a mouth full of warm lake water. I couldn't do anything but laugh. Fortunately we had other non tempered with beverages.

some pranks are funny, some can be kind of malicious; you have to know where the line is. If you don't then maybe pranks aren't your thing! Just sayin'!

Pranking is fine. Witty cutting conversation is fine. Insult wars are awesome. You cost me a fish or cost me equipment you're going to be walking back to the dock.

Yeah I love a prank but all those listed in the op would pizz me off. Maybe if I was rich and caught 5lb bass on every cast then they wouldn't bother me. Neither will ever happen though.

tieing a 5 gallon bucket to a trolling rig when your not paying attention then cheering you on and filming it is funnay as h e l l. cutting your line 15 feet in will get you cinder block shoes. thats a real d head move. id be pretty pist about that. especially when it cost you a $7 lure. ive got a million lures but get mad when i lose one.

I wont tolerate pranks. Never fish with them again.

Dont jack with my boat or my fish !....Talking [censored] is fine but the rest will get you a lot less fishing trips with me.

I have noticed that said malicious intent increases with
length of time you've fished with someone....

Fishing down at the coast, hooked about an 18 inch gator on a topwater. Brought it in to the boat, when fishing buddy heard the scratching on the fiberglass, turned around and saw the gator, he got startled and jumped clean out of the boat. Took me 30 minutes to convince him I threw it back and to get back into the boat.

Not water in a good beer!

That will screw up our day

Cutting tour line 15 feet in is inexcusable, I would never fish with that dude again.
