Well I did it. Finally got Money in hand and it burnt a whole in my pocket. After what seemed like a long time searching, planning, more searching, and then kinda got lucky.

Here it is my Pro Angler 12

Went and picked her up today. Thanks Blake for the trailer to get her home.

And here she is next to her sister yak the Slayer Propel(Blakes).

Thanks Ride 135 for the great deal! and thanks again Blake the trailer for the day!

Going out this weekend for her Maiden(to me) Voyage, and couldn't ask for better weather!

The Boss says I got to cool it for a bit but future mods.
Rod Leashes
Hinged Crate
Fish Finder.
Anchor Trolley system.
Push Pole DIY

Speaking of Anchor Trolleys, I saw what I thought was a cool setup for it on a PA. It was mounted on top not on the side, Search Youtube for "Pimp My Pro Angler". It also just went half way down the boat. Do many people trolley off at the front of the boat? or is it really a rare occasion?

Can't wait to get on the water with everyone, hopefully will get her slimmed on Sunday!

The 2013 and later PAs come preplumbed for the hobie kit which makes for a super easy install. You can find the kits at Mariner Sails for around $40

Congrats! I have a PA as well. Great boat. I have a bunch of crates for some reason, but they never leave the shop! One or two rod holders and a graph and you can fish a loooong time on that dude...

Congrats on the PA - you will love it. As yakfin said, the newer pa such as yours is designed for the full length trolley. It's a plug and play with the hobie anchor trolley kit. I don't see any reason to do something different when its a simple and slick setup. And yes you will find you want to use the full length either to get yourself into or away from wind and/or pointed in a certain direction to fish a specific hole. Important whether anchoring or drift chuting. Congrats and post up those future fishing trips!

My anchor trolley is from Front to midway and back to midway on both sides. I use them all, a lot of times two at a time.
I like options.
Congratulations on a great Yak.

"Pre-plumbed" means there are threaded inserts molded into the hull from the factory to attach the anchor pulleys that are in that Hobie kit. Most new kayak owners fret over actually drilling a hole in their own kayak, and Hobie owners (most, not me of course!) are the WORST!

Of course, their friends would like nothing better than to take a drill to a Hobie, often very near the desired location!

I have my trolley in the pre plumed holes, it was easy and cheap. Lowrance install was also pretty easy.

i don't think you ever saw my red outback. i cut a square hole in it about 4" wide for a switch panel.

I never saw it in person, but I think I saw some pictures of it on craigslist maybe. I didn't realize it was your when we met on Texoma. You already had your PA then, and that was my one and only trip in my Outback before i found the guy wanting to trade the PA for one..
