Thanks, I need some beginners luck. I can't wait until the 25th to go fishing so I'm gonna make a recon trip to pick up all my new PA rods and try out Stubby's bait on the 20th.

That fish couldn't have come to a nicer gentleman, who until that day had NEVER caught a blue catfish. Yup, that's the way it works sometimes. Clean livin' I suppose. wink

Fish hit a fresh cut gizzard shad head (medium size) and took it down slow. We actually thought it might be a box fish at first.

Then, all heck broke lose and it was on. One of only 5 fish caught that day, it sure made for some excitement. Very windy conditions made it impossible to get a perfect weight on her but we got close enough.

I caught a very large fish just over 80lbs on Halloween and when this fish came over the side of the boat, I knew it was BIG. You just don't get to see fish like that very often and when you do it's a really special moment.

I really appreciate Bob's desire to get the fish back in the water immediately instead of taking her to the dock and try and get a certifiable weight on her. She didn't look real good after the fight and it speaks volumes that customers care so much for these fish. thumb

No doubt in my mind we are closing in on the 100lb mark on ole' Twok. thumb

well, I will tell you that other guides have been having horrible days on twok lately and these guides usually catch alot of fish. I was planning on fishing this weekend and I decided to save my gas and wait until later. I like to fish more than most and dont mind a slow days sometimes but if I know it is going to be slow then no thanks. Gas is too expensive to waste on getting 5 bites all days long. It sucked at lavon yesterday. 3 bites all day. it makes for a loong day.

The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

I plan on following your Youtube video that I have watched at least 6 times to find and catch a new lake record. When I do this, you might want to start working on your elusive "part two" of your sonar video.

I don't wear my feelings on my sleeve, so don't worry Rick. BigPig doesn't bother me. I ignore trolls. I hope to start making Twok a regular occurance so maybe we could meet up and do some fishing.
