Headed out Sunday morning with my neighbor and his father in law to get some crappie in the live well. 1st of all, the weather gurus got it wrong again- they were shy of the temp prediction by 15 deg and it was wet and cold! We boated a little over a one man limit on a lake that is a keep the first 25 you catch plus a lot of pesky yellow bass. We both minnows and jigs with and even amount of fish caught on both. Drifting still better than anchoring from my observations. We did better than most boats around us, but the boats are fewer and more scattered now. The last two trips out in two weeks has been the same. Limits are harder to come by- I think the fish are transitioning to the upper lake preparing to head to the creeks and flooded timber. We did manage two really nice fish, with one being 2 lbs 5 oz. Playing the wind to drift you over the ledges is the key, as is good sonar. Good fishing,
