I have been told about 5 to 10% more then the weight of the fish with out eggs. That would put a 10 pound fish between 10.5 and 11 pounds

I think it would be safe to say that it would weigh at least 10 lbs. and then maybe a little more.

Ralph Manns once told me that the MOST he had ever seen in the largest fish he had seen with eggs (16+) was 1.5 lbs., actually 1.47 lbs. He said that was really odd and he said 7-10% was much more normal, as mentioned above. GREAT resource to have as a friend. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Thad Rains Mr Mann's is an awesome person to know. I get to talk to him often at the ramp on wed or thur, whichever day he chooses to fish that week.

depends on the individual fish. ive seen bass in the summer that look like prespawn toads. id assume they wouldnt weigh much different. about 1/2 pound is pretty common

Its really easy to imagine a #10 fish in july weighing alot more in full pre-spawn,but I dont place much in it at that size. Im sure once you get a fish up the teen size it could make a world of difference. Say a 12.7 in summer would put her well over sal size in feb. I caught a spawned out 10-7 last spring and honestly she wouldnt have gone much over an 11 in full prespawn, she just didnt have the build for it. I have seen fish here that look like they have 4 pounds of eggs in them sometimes. Mine always look sick and skinny lol compared to others.

post spawn fish have gone through so much stress during the spawn....they loose a large amount of weight...not just the eggs they lay...it takes a while for them to get back to "normal" weight...I'd say a 10 pounder would weigh about 12-13 pounds...
