Skeeter has a bigger deck than a comparable size/model legend. Also the ride is very dry & smooth compared to bass boats I have experience with. Fishablity is also satisfactory they stay pointed in the wind as good as any. No bass boat on the market is going take on 6 - 8 foot water and turn it in to pleasure cruse. Skeeter has been in business for 66 years and built in Texas. Take a fishing trip in both Brands, at the end of the day its your $$$$$$$$ so get what you want not what someone else wants.

For me a Skeeter is an all around good boat. It may not be the best in any category, but the total package is pretty good. Comfort, ride, fishing platform, looks, reliability etc. If I was buying another boat I would keep my options open. I can't say I would buy another Skeeter. I did test drive, but didn't fish, a legend when I was looking last time. For me with up to four people in the boat, my family, the skeeter was the way to go.

Go test drive each boat and then you'll be able to make your decision a lot easier. I would say Skeeter because my dad owns a 2013 ZX20 (I fish out of it every weekend) and I've yet to come up with a bad thing to sat about it. Also, I'm 6'3", he's 6'1" and we're both over 300 pounds and we both fish off the front with absolute ease! When one of us moves around a lot the boat barely moves; it's SUPER stable! All around, it's an absolute winner!

I currently have a 2005 LE -21 legend but if I get another I am going back to skeeter. I had two before this boat and they were both good boats.

from what ive seen in the boats for sell section why is there more skeeters for sale and many no more than 2yrs old and not many legends for sale. giving though there are probably 4-1 skeeter owners over legend owners but kinda surprised at amount of skeeters for sale and im in the market for a boat and kinda hesitate on buying a skeeter...maybe im just over cautious..
good luck on whichever one you choose im sure you will make the right decision..

Most 1-2 year old Skeeters that are for sale are some sort of Pro Staff/Team boat deal. Typically those guys have to buy a new boat every 1-2 years as part of their agreement. Nothing wrong with the boats.

Bass-n Buck I can tell you why. In the DFW market alone there were 110 Skeeters sold in 2013 and 19 Legends. Skeeter out sells every bass boat brand in DFW therefore there will be a lot more used boat with the bug on them! With Skeeter continually tweeking their boats lots of guys sell theirs to upgrade to the new Skeeters like the new 2014 FX!!!

Skeeter if you like that one size fits all off the shelf look and the soft floppy fish kinda ride. Legend if you have a passion for performance and looking good. Nuff said.
