I am currently waiting for my starter kit to arrive by mail. I have never tied a jig but figure now is a good time to start. Cabin fever is setting in and I need something else to do beside looking at Youtube fishing videos.

007fisher,
Have fun with the tying.. Don't let it get to outta hand... I started 20 years ago for a hobby that has turned into a businesss. Conservitivly I got between $5,000.00 and $6,000.00 of tying things from molds to you name it...
I don't think I would do anything different though...
Enjoy, let me know if you need any help!

Just build your own kit. Order 2 colors of 210Denier Thread, 1 or 2 bobbin's, 2 colors of a Hackle or Marabou, a pair of scissors, a whip finisher, 2 colors of chenille & a hank of Krystal Flash. Also order some Pro Ball jigheads in 1/16oz & 1/8oz. This list should run you around $35-$40 but you'll be set for tying a bunch of jigs. Next, get ready to dive off into Powder Painting!

And and and LOL
Pepop has been about the biggest jig maker in that last year he just will push you to tie. Not a bad thing and hell he has some good looking jigs that all of use have enjoyed.
CA has a good starter kit.
If you think your going to do more then a Starter kit the one thing I would look at is the vice. Every one seems to like the peek vice and I must say it looks good but I can tie a jig with vice grips.
Not that I use vice grips LOL but I don't use a peak vice. Point is start simple and some what good this helps if you have junk it makes it hard.

Pepop helped us get started. My 9yo does good work and 7yo has a blast trying new creations. Both enjoy powder painting the heads. Thanks to Pepop,we don't use dollar store finger nail polish anymore.
