My old pastor used to say "if you go fishing on Sunday, you'll catch the devil" Which is why I was able to hunt on Sundays without him being able to say anything hey, if fishing on a Sunday meant I would catch the devil, then hunting on Sunday surely meant that I would kill the devil, right? Jk...I've missed service for both fishing and hunting, but God knows my heart and I'm in service the vast majority of Sundays

Seems as though I'm fishing in good company. Enjoy reading all the wonderful post and who knows, maybe they will lead someone else to be fishers of men.

Just remember guys God will be first in your life. God does not settle for any one of our's spare time. Always under all circumstances put God first. Church is the body of Christ and Jesus is the head of the Church. Every Christian makes up that body. Church is a place where Christians get together to worship and praise. As Christians we have been commanded to "Go and spread the Gospel", if it has been laid on your heart to go with whoever it may be to witness to them then by all means go. Heres where I think many will disagree with me. If you miss Church because the fish are biting or to deer hunt or whatever it may be then are you really putting God first? Thats something each will have to answer for themselves, as for me I spent a lot of years fishing and hunting on Sunday's. Nowadays I have decided to follow Jesus and Church on Sunday is right where I feel like I need to be. Remember just always ask yourself if your putting God first? You will have your answer.
