A group of us are looking for a good river to do a two to three day fish trip. We have been on several of these trips. Usually on the Brazos or Red. We wanted ideas on areasTFFrs like yaking? Any info would be great.

We don't mind traveling for a good river. We are tired of low water and half days dragging yaks over rocks. We have traveled to broken bow and Florida for good yaking. We are looking in Oklahoma and Arkansas now. Any ideas would be awesome.

In Arkansas, the Buffalo River is beautiful, has good gravel bars for camping and some of the sections offer very good smallmouth bass fishing. Crooked Creek is also well known for its smallmouth, but I do not know what the camping is like on that creek.

Thanks Red, it is an awesome river. You can do as many days or as few as you want. Here is the photos and report I did before the video was done.

Also check out Bert's blog Lone Star Chronicles, he had an awesome trip there and has great pics and report as well.

Good luck!

Where do you put in and where do you take out? Is there a certain flow level or gauge height that is best?
