This Friday is supposed to be nice, I am thinking about heading out there in the afternoon, Anyone want to check it out? Warm on Thursday too, so maybe Friday might be worth it?
I only fish on days that end in Y!

Heading out there on Saturday afternoon... If ya see a guy with a big blue backpack say hi! Not sure if I should get minnows or just stick with jigs... Not too worried about catching just want to get out and walk around and fish the nice day away!

They stocked it with 2,000 trout I believe about 2 weeks ago. My son and I fly fished and used spinners out there last Sunday. Something was coming after the spinners in the far side bank in a deep pool pretty close to where you park by the dam. but other than that, we struck out after about 3 1/2 to 4 hours. About 5-6 people out there fly fishing and nobody was even getting a single hit. One huy said he thought there was too much water flow, but I wondered if they hadn't moved further down stream already. We ended up hiking a decent ways...maybe 400 yards on a trail on the far bank. Maybe that guy was right or maybe we didn't hike far enough. anyway, I agree with the fact that a little slower moving water would have led to more productive fishing, but I still thought they should have at least been in the bends and behind some small islands. I don't believe it's bank only though. Most people were wading...myself included. I could be wrong. It was my first time there.

I used a couple of different flies, rooster tails and super dupers. Didn't try powerbait, worms or minnows though. Maybe I needed to!
