Bad trade from poster called 5Redman8 from Forney

Here's original post:

Curado 200 B5
Just Serviced....new factory bearings
Paint chips here and there
Outside shows use but the inside is now buttery smooth.
Face to face...Forney, Mesquite, Rockwall, or Garland Bass Pro...$60 or $70 shipped

This reel was shipped. There is little or no anti reverse that functions on every cast. He now is claiming that I apparently I don't know how to use the reel and he would only send my money back upon his inspection.
It backlashes something fierce. If a reel is just serviced it certainly wouldn't have black old grease on base of reel near drag system.

BUYERS beware. Not everyone sells as advertised. Too bad a few bad eggs spoil it for others trying to help each other out. Just wanted another good cranking reel but instead got a lemon.

Re: bigfishwilb

A refund was offered.....even though it had been nearly 2 months since he had the reel.

He kept implying that I knew something was wrong and that I intentionally sold junk. Why would I be willing to meet face to face if there were issues with the reel?

I suspect he ignorantly tried to lubricate the reel himself and got oil or grease on the ARB. This could also explain the backlash problem, as oil on the friction ring can cause overruns.

Made a trade with Eat Sleep Fish. Good guy to deal with. Very easy transaction over the forum and by phone.

Some folks say that fishin on a Sunday is a sin, but if a fish bites my line, you know I'm gonna reel him on in!

Same to you man! Trade was perfect and reel was exactly as described. Easy transaction and communication was awesome. Will definitely do business again, great seller here guys and gals.
Thanks again!

Its not about how many fish you catch or how big they are, its about the memories you make catching those fish.

As always, tight lines!

I bought a HDS unit from David @ shut up and fish and he made everything so smooth. His prices beat everyone I looked at. He called me when the unit was delayed being shipped and notified me the second it came in. I picked the unit up from him at his house and he welcomed me in and help me carry everything out. He went out of his way to tell me about the new rebate offers that Lowrance was offering in order for me to get money back.
If you haven't met David yet then you are probably missing out on a great deal and meeting a friendly person.
Thank you David

Bought a boat off TFF - saw listing and pics here - pictures and listing showed all including a locker bar - looked at the boat a couple of times at owner's home - locker bar was in place each time. I made an offer lower than his price but he accepted. We met at the lake for a test drive and to finalize if all checked good. Trolling batteries were shot. Owner was not happy about needing 2 batteries (understandable) and we agreed to split it and each bought one. so, we had a deal. I didn't think about it at the time but after getting home with boat I realized the locker bar wasn't in the boat. Fittings were still in place but no bar. Conatcted seller, thinking he had simply forgot it too after we drove it, but he said that he had decided to keep it. I responded that it was listed, posted, & in all pic and he had showed how it worked, etc. I simply stated that it was listed as part of the accessories and that we had not discussed anything being different prior to our agreement and that I felt it was part of the deal and I should get it. He didn't think that was the case and that he was going to keep it. I won't post name because its not that major - just not the way you do ethical business - in my opjnion and obviously the opinion of most on TFF. Just be sure it's all there before you drive off. All other xactions have been perfect.

Dad - " 'cause I keep my bait in the water." Life Lesson - thanks Dad - RIP
