A yellow Smithwick Devil's horse. Threw that thing a million times and one day a five pounder jumped all over it in a little creek. Scared me half to death! I was around 10-11 years old. I still have the lure.

A White rooster tail at the leon creek in San Antonio. Maybe 1/2 pound or so but it was fun. Had some great times there. Used to walk there in the summer with my older brother and cusin, to catch pan fish with masa(dough). Used to catch crawlfish to use at braunig and calaveras lakes as well.

Beetle Spin, Mepps minnow or Heddon chugger. So long ago I can't be for sure. Maybe a hula popper.
Slide right, coming in .... Fish On!

Grasshopper under a bobber. First lure was a white roadrunner with blue grub trailer. The blue grub had all these shiny flakes--purchased at Barlow's. Caught a ton of fish on that roadrunner blue grub set up.

First bass ever was caught on a split shot nightcrawler. I remember like it was yesterday! Me and my uncle would wake up early Saturday mornings and head out to a spot called: WORM CITY! We would dig till our buckets were full of worms and head out after. We caught tons of bass, cats, perch, and breams! Good ol Days!

Texas rigged worm, brand unknown. There weren't many different brands on the market when I started fishing. I caught it in a stock pond on our farm.
