I use these as teasers to go on the treble hooks on my slabs. I am wanting them to be around 3/4 of an inch long and solid yellow. I need an eyelet on them to attach them to the split ring but it does not have to be a hook. I am looking for extra flash for my slabs. Thanks.

Do you have better results using this method than tying the feathers directly to the treble hook?

I will post a picture of one and yes I do have better results with the teaser on the end if the slab, but that is my secret.

I wasn't trying to learn any trade secrets. It just seemed like an unusual request. Looking at the pictures, that would be an easy tie. There are several folks on here that will probabaly jump on this. If not, I can give you a couple of names.

So, coincidentally I bought some treble hooks yesterday for a related use. I have a friend that trolls for whites back East. He wants treble hooks for his Rapalas. He wanted 1/0, but my local Dick's has VMC 5580TR size 2 for $2.99/10. (red Vanadium)
So I've just harvested some long hair clumps from my dogs tail, and I'll dye these deep red with vinegar and Kool-Aid. I'll tie this in with red thread and include some strips of silver mylar from this little Cheeze-It packages my niece's kids eat here at the house.
When I get done, I'll post some pics. I can't see doing this without doing it directly to the treble hook.

I don't need hooks, I will just end up cutting the hooks off. How he secured it to a straight shank with an eyelet I do not know. Thanks.
