Im completely an amateur boater as i have now been on a lake operating a boat 10-15 times myself, much i am learning!! My pappy however, took me fishing probably 3 x a week from big enough through high school, as much as he taught me to fish he taught me respect for other boaters twice as much! Sorry to say ive seen more disrespectful than i have respectful! Usually its the nicer high dollar boats you see doing it! Take that how you will, i know how i mean it! wink

I haven't even read all the responses on this thread but the OP's post so I can just imagine.
I've been fishing and boating for more years than a lot of you have been alive, and I'll tell you that it will never change, and it only gets harder and harder to just overlook those knotheads.
People leave all common sense on the bank, and most of those I have to wonder how they even found their way to the lake.
Funny how it only takes one person to ruin an otherwise beautiful day on the water.
People just need to think just a little bit, and it will make a huge difference.

Just one more cast!

I hear ya jimbo....

However....it didn't ruin our day. We had an awesome day and forgot bout' it 30 seconds after it happened. Stuff like this happens pretty often on the water and you can't let things get to ya.

Only reason I mentioned these few instances is that it has happened much more often and I felt like others could benefit from a few stories.

I fish with guys pretty often in my boat who are new boat owners and admittedly not a clue about boating do's n' dont's....of which some frequent the TFF.

If this post helped one person then it was worth it, thumb

Didn't ruin our day either. We caught a lot of big fish on Sat and enjoyed every single minute on the water. It was an awesome day.

question? If you had an awesome day and forgot about it 30 seconds later, why did you start this post on this forum and explain to everybody what my boat looks like? Okay, I'm sorry for calling you out! I know you are a TFF celebrity, and you probably have a million friends on here but what you have done to me is not right and just PLEASE don't do it to anybody else again. I gotta go to bed okay! And I am sorry you are getting busted in a lie! I love everybody!

Everybody Please just go read " boat ettiquette Part 2 " Man... Now I am calling him out myself. I'm sorry for scooping to this guys level but he is building up a whole crowd against me. And I have done nothing wrong. Something is not right with what this forum is turning into. We are supposed to be nice to each other and help each other. Okay, I really gotta go to bed now. Got a long day of work tomorow. CHEERS

It's not paranoia if they really are after you.

What are you supposed to do when you are in the boat show catching sand bass and have the requirement to pee? Are you supposed to leave the area and give up your spot or just take a knee on the back casting deck and let'er rip?

Also, how close to another boat can you throw a cast net? I figure, if they can watch your net dropping on their electronics you are too close.

To many legalistic/judgmental Christians in church's these days
My mother wouldnt be proud anyway,we were not raised to honor self pride
You be mindful to pray for all the lesser folks beneath you,we need it!

Everyone. Be safe on the water, slow down.
Please be mindful; of others in boats, and the shore.
