WOW, you guys are brutal............... Remember when the "rattle" traps came out and all the ol' wood bait fisherman say they would never work? How many traps do you have in your box? Remember when plastic worms hit the market (oh, your not old enough)? well live bait fishermen said they would never work and now you got Texas rigged worms, Carolina rigged worms, wacky worms, drop shot. Hello...... How about "Roadrunners"? Grub with a blade. Oh you don't like them ....... they don't catch bass, no self respective fisherman would use a Roadrunner on a bass, yes they do. How many times do you do out with a DD22 and get blanked? why does everyone put a $2,000 graph on their boats? Don't you know where to find fish without the aid of technology? Like I said you guys are brutal.
How true! Something new comes along and everyone knows better. Wow I hope no one invents another out of the box idea again. I'm just so totally satisfied with the way things are RIGHT now!

Threw that exact same color DM 14 this past weekend on falcon. The bass we caught sure liked it...
Ill tell you one thing, it was awesome seeing that crankbait light up as youre cranking it at 730 in the morning and all of a sudden see it disappear and fish on! I'd like to know what brand of polarized sunglasses you're using to see down 10-14 feet at Falcon at 730am light, as my $200 Costas are clearly a rip off. Everyone I've ever fished with down there can barely see 4-5 ft in good light...must be nice. All the gimmicky tech aside, I've yet to hear one person give these baits a solid thumbs up over PROVEN baits for each application. I've met the owner, and have followed the progress of the company closely as they're located here in San Antonio and I was privvy to their stuff before they started spending a wad on promotions this year. The company has great service, but the baits leave a lot to be desired at this point. The Pro Staff guys like Billy have every right to push the performance of the baits as that's what's expected for being affiliated with a company, but the hyperbole in this thread is pretty comical. If it's a confidence lure for you, more power to you, but (like others in this thread not on the payroll or blowing smoke) having thrown their baits and side by side against others for hours, there's no miracle performance boost. They've been outfished - every. single. time. I'm interested in seeing what baits Rago kicks out for them, but I haven't seen anything to get excited about yet. When did I ever say I was fishing 10-14 feet down? No need to be a smarta$$. Caught all my fish 6-8ft, and yes, I was wearing my costas with 580 lenses. Im not on their pay role either... In fact im just a college angler and like their baits, I threw all my other crank baits at them all week and they liked the size and color scheme of the DM 14 over the same color crank that I threw from 6th sense, Norman, Strike king and H20. Think about other factors before you try and call someone out.

This has certainly been an entertaining thread.....lol .....and who doesn't have a Laser Lure? Seriously. The new "greatest thing since sliced bread" phenomena keeps things fun and fills us with hope and what ifs. I remember going to the Classic three straight years in Richmond Virginia with my pops. To this day I will never forget the Berkley stand that had their own fish tank. They were showing how bass could not resist their new worm. Powerbait was born and boy did it take the fishing world by storm. My pops took 1k to the expo that year. He bought a new Lews BB1 I believe for 99 bucks and spent the rest of his 900 bucks on power worms.....lol. Needless to say we were sold. Now do I believe in a Hydrowave? No (even though I have one on my Ranger) Do I believe in Laser lures? No (but I still bought a few and used em) Did I believe in the "color C lector" No (but did pops and I have one of these back in the day? yep) Or how bout the Biosonix...... Bottom line is that most of us are suckers for something new that promises to help us put more fish in the boat. and yes I am one of the ones kneeling.....lol.

There's just too many cats on here that are too cool and know everything. That's a priceless post. All we have are life stories and the fun we have. Buy your toys, chase your dreams, blow some money every now and then, make a few bad decisions. LOL. At least you did it pursuing your passion, with your kid, brother, dad, buddy, wife, whatever. As far as the baits go, if someone prefers them that's cool. If you don't, that's cool too. I can tell you this. The most skeptical guy I know is about to put them through the ringer on Honey Hole for the next year and we'll see how it goes live and in color.

I bought one in my most confident color but haven't had a chance to test it out. To everyone complaining about the lures not running true: Do you own a pair of needle nose? I have bought Lucky Craft & several others than did not run true right out of the package. Youtube has instructional videos on tuning crank baits...FYI! Can anyone say Laser Lure???? Banjo Minnow????? I caught more bass than I could count growing up on the old Banjo Minnow!

You have lost your mind if putting Berkeley power bait in the same post as Livingston, laser lures, and hydro wave. You falcon guys need to stay off the wacky weed coming across down there!

I've been looking at these a little the last few days. I'm reasonably certain that there is no battery. It would be fairly simple to create sufficient charge (kinetic energy) to power a capacitor that would supply the electronic circuit with the required voltage.
- Capacitive sensing to detect when the device is underwater - Kinetic energy charging circuit - Processor to control light/sound generation.

I bought some several years ago when they first came on the market. Never caught a fish. I still have them, the batteries are dead. I took the hooks off and my now 6 year old uses them for practice throwing baits. If someone else has success with them then that's fine with me. I had the same luck with the lateral perch. Remember those?

I have purchased 10 of these. Stick baits and lipless mostly. The chirping sound is not as loud as you might think based on the commercials. You can barely hear it. The finishes of the baits are not as good as you might expect from a $11.99 lure. Even in the Classic Randy Howell was throwing one that was either custom painted or not for sale yet. I have not caught a single fish on them. I finally went back to old faithful at Fork and did catch fish. In my opinion they will be joining the Helicopter lures very soon.
