Are these hybrids what some call Mohawks? they have a line going down the top of their head all the way to the dorsal? We catch them every once in a while out of Lewisville. they are bred with mohawks, but a pure strain mohawk crappie is just a black crappie with a racing strip down their back.

The hybrids are the ones with the broken vertical bar pattern. You can't see, but all the hybrids have a black racing stripe on they're nose because the fish farm we ordered them from uses male racing stripe crappie with femal white crappie. i seen that broken tiger pattern....very cool lookin crappie .... KABOOM
