Mark you are correct and access is not limited if anyone really wants to see the show. I love it and agree with Billy D. about Bill Wilcox being what he is. The one thing I really like about the show is that Bill is not constantly talking about the baits and the rods and reels. He is not pushing name brands during the time he is filming and fishing, like so many "pro's" do. I enjoy seeing the different lakes he fishes because many of them I am familiar but not all. I'm sure the new format will be good and will be modified as the season progresses, because things change. Good luck and the DVR is already set to record the whole series. So, it is not the end of an era...it is the beginning of a NEW ERA in a show we enjoy.

Ive watched Honey hole for several years now and have taped the ones I miss when Im not home, I think that Bill and Dirk do a great job with very little time, I also did 2 shows with them on Moss lake a few years ago. After I did the first show with them I got a whole new perspective of what they go through to make a show, catching fish or not they got to do the show before sunset. Also when some people do the show they are very reluctant to give up their secrets and spots but they want to do the show. Bill for the most part has enough knowledge of fishing times and seasons to recover and make a show, and it helps when you spend a lot of time on the water, but the fish dont bite everywhere all the time and there are several other factors that change there feeding habits too. Some of the shows are informative and some are not, but what other fishing show can you watch 52 weeks a year? Good luck with the new year and keep the shows coming

I like the show because I know Bill and his guests show what they catch, I think the shows that show a 5 lber on each cast in a private looking pond or small lake are not realistic.

I haven't watched it since the days of Deb and Jerry Dean.....miss them both dearly. Frankly I didn't even know it was still on the air.......Who is hosting it now? If they are still fishing Texas lakes I'd love to watch it.......

Bill films his shows in "real time" and doesn't spend several days catching fish and making a 30 min show by editing down 30+ hours of fishing.

I like the fact he does that and when you get old enough to get a few hours on the water, you'll understand the fish do not bite everyday...

Just think. If we bitch enough we can get rid of all the fishing shows on TV. Then we can move on to another subject to bitch about.
If anyone knows the history of the show it has stayed true to its original format of a couple of guys out fishing and showing exactly how the day unfolds good or bad. To all those that say there is no education on the show simply open your eyes. Pay attention to the weather, where and what they are casting and their retrieves etc. Just because no one is taking you by the hand showing you 1, 2, 3 step by step tips does not mean they are not there.
Personally I have loved the down home nature of the show and how it never pimped product and also it was great to see local guys as guests. That being said I am excited to see the new format and with the people involved it will be a great success I bet.

Honey Hole has been an icon for fishing in Texas for many years and I suspect it will continue to do so for many years to come.......Good luck with the new formatting guys.

Fished Honey Hole with Jerry and Debra for all the years they ran the circuit. I still have a silver pendant with the sate of Texas with jumping bass on it,the Honey Hole logo. Jerry said a silver smith made it to give as a prize.Couldn't catch any fish on Cedar Creek but have this as a good memory of the good times we had on the circuit.

Having complaints is one thing and we all have opinions. I just hate to see the smartarse comments about the show. With as approachable as Bill is its easy to relay any questions in a respectable manner.

I can remember going to the commissary at the Joint Reserve Base and seeing Jerry out working in his yard I would stop and ask him if he was digging worms for his show.

Been nice watching and keep up the good work.

If you can access the TFF then you should be able to see the show online.

Yes, but I will go over my data plan was watching full episode shows like that. To upgrade more data puts me in the same boat of over $100 per year to be able to view the show.

Thanks though.

then go to mcdonalds, or starbucks, and stream it free via wifi. Your point is moot and sour

I understand your point Ronnie. However it is not worth that kind of trouble for me to watch the show on a regular basis. I will WiFi some occasional episodes but I will not be a regular viewer any more.

PS If anyone thinks I'm am bitching just to be bitching, they can go carp fishing with a zebco. Lighten up people.

Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

I watch H.H. every Saturday morning on KDFI channel 27 here in Burleson because I don't have Fox Sports Southwest thru Dish Network. Does this effect me viewing future episodes?
