I posted the other day seeking info about an old lure that I bought.
Since then I have had requests to share some pics of the collection.
I have been collecting for over 20 years and these are just a few of
many, many lures. Hope some find this interesting.....

Old wooden tackle box with some of the older ones.

Cool looking fish - can't remember the maker off hand.

Paw Paw brand "Wot-a-Frog"

Heddon Crab Wiggler with glass eyes.

Unidentified Plunker type lure.

The red and white one is a Phleuger Globe, the other two are made of metal. I'm not sure on maker.

Display case of lures

Another display case of lures.

And the last thing is an old window from TPWD
when they were known as the Game and Fish Commission. It was salvaged from a
dumpster a long time ago. Most prized collectable item - there ain't another like it in the world.

That's just awesome gatorboy. Beautiful collection. You ever stop and wonder how many countless examples of these old lures were ruined by putting them in with the old plastic worms? I've had my heart broken too many times opening an old box and finding that.

Very nice collection! Makes me sad to see some of them because my dad had a box of old lures that was stolen back in the 90's and I had hoped to pass them on to my grandson. frown

Great collection. I've been collecting for about 20 years. Got bamboo fly rods, old knuckle buster reels, steel rods, old fiberglass rods. 1960 Lowrance portable flasher green box- mint condition. A lot of wooden lures with glass eyes. Gonna pass them to the sons and grand children one day.

I can remember having several of those as a kid. I guess that tells my age. Lol
