What a good way to spend a holiday visit. My little brother came home from Costa Rica and we went out to do a little fishing for Christmas fish fry at the Spud's house. He also wanted to break his PB of 20lbs. We accomplished all. Took home 5 blue's about 8lbs or so, Several fish in the teens (did not even weigh), 9 fish from 20-27lbs, a 32lber and a 37lber. Lost 4 fish, one of which busted new leader. Saw the swirl and tail few times and my guess from tail size 50+. All fish came from fresh run off into lake Sunday. Still have a few dates open in January and February for up and coming Lake Waco. Once again PROOF that the slot is working! All these fish are clean, healthy, good proportion in size and getting bigger every year. Still plenty of good box fish too!

Thanks everyone. Fishing on Waco has been steady to good for awhile. The fish here are biting and getting bigger in average size. New lake record was caught and released on Friday. Measurements were if I remember 47 length and 36 or 37 in girth. Should be 55-60lb fish. Was caught and released without certified scales. Expecting it to be broke a few more times this winter. Remember you don't have to travel to north texas for a chance at a trophy blue, book a trip and you'll see.
