Watch the old man stuff. I don't consider 53 to be old. And don't tell me I have clothes older than that. Johnny

A couple of more pics from the paddle fishing trip. I had a great time, met some good people and the weather was very nice. If I lived up where we were fishing I would be paddle fishing every chance I got. The size of barbless treble hooks we were snagging paddle fish with. Keep that line tight!!! After you finally reel them in your so exhausted it's hard to hole a 50 to 75lb fish up for photo's. I believe this was my biggest one to reel in.

Okay I know these things are endangered in Texas, are they not in Oklahoma? I've known about people catching a lot of them in Grand Lake but it just seems weird that they are endangered here. Do you fish for them like you would fish for gar?

We did snag about a 5 foot gar. The guide drags 4 lines behind the boat, you just kick back and when they snag a fish you take turns reeling them in. When they are stacked up enough, the guide will let you cast for them. I really enjoyed that, it's like you are heaving the weight and treble back and you feel like you hit something solid. Buddy, you better have your feet planted because, when the spoonbill starts to run, it will be a tug like you never experienced. Very, Very solid fish. Lance's Guide Boat / Very confortable seats and it's nice and wide, that you have plenty of room to walk around. Lance working the fish finder / He helped me a lot on showing me how to identify different kinds of fish marked.

ctstormman your question about being endangered. According to Lance Oklahoma started a stocking program in the 90's. There is enough of them Lance finds them on the depth finder and then goes over them. You can keep 1 a day if you desire. There is some regulations on the fish you keep. But I sure would not call them endangered. According to Lance Grand lake has bigger fish than Fort Gibson. Which is where we fished. I am not sure I wanted anything bigger than what we caught. Johnny
