Can't seem to find any at tawakoni or White Rock right now. Anyone going on a shad run that KNOWS what they are doing? I obviously don't. Wanting some to fish throughout Thanksgiving. More than happy to donate adequate gas money.. ANy advice greatly appreciated also.

If using Buff from the market do you just filet it up for bait chunks? They have already been gutted there.

Get the Buff from the store and whak it with a stick a bit also. Gets the jucies flowing.

If you get a buffalo at the market make sure and tell them not to clean it. Other wise they will take the scales off and wash it down and you will loose a lot of scent. My daughter and I went fishing after church and I didn't want to take a chance throwing for bait in the middle of the day so I went to a market and got a buff and my daughter landed a good one on it. The fish is in my signature so I know it works.

i got two whole ones in the freezer i got in the cast net throwing for shad... looks like that's what we'll be using this weekend if no shad come around...
