Mark I feel like less of a hack knowing we had the same results today. That was our experience this afternoon. Trust me I am king of the hacks. As long as I am having fun its all good. Actually in all seriousness most I talked too struggled. I had a lot of bites and caught enough fish to keep it fun but I had to cover a lot of water too. I did talk to a buddy that guides when he came in this evening to load up and they had similar results but had one pushing 10lbs.

Post pictures of your catch. No one wants to see 15-18" fish...-

Mark I have been catching really nice bass on a jig for several weeks now and it should get even better as the water temps drop. However the jig I'm using isn't macho enough for most of you Lake Fork Guru's,,,1/8oz.

Little tougher today shallow wise. Missed a handful of fish but got one worth a picture. Had a great time as always though. Hard to not enjoy this great lake.

Would u mind sharing your setup when fishing a jig? Rod, reel, line, jig type, weight? And anything else that could be useful and or helpful. TIA. I use a Dobyns 745 Extreme, Shimano Core reel and 20 pound test P-Line Halo.

Actually have a gentleman that is visiting from Indiana that I am fishing with for 2 days. He has never seen Fork and judging from the excitement in his messages he is chomping at the bit. Hope the fish gods smile down on the boat tomorrow and he gets a PB.
I met a nice guy from down-state Indiana staying at LFM Hotel this morning. He said he was fishing with a friend - I want to be friends - can we be friends, Mark? Anyhow, I picked up just a regular Tatula from RiverA Tackle. I got some comments on the distance. I can only drool thinking about the R version.

I did not do the best job of showing him how great Fork really is but still had fun. The Tatulas are for real. Once someone uses one they want more.

Jig bite is still off. Maybe when the water temps drop a few degrees more the fishing will improve.
