Are there any lakes that have been hurt over time due to tilapia?

They've been in Fairfield for years and I've never heard of them being a nuisance. Then again, Fairfield has had it's issues with fish kills that have kept that lake in check. I say someone get with the lake authority and have a Tilapia Derby. Make it fun and get some of those fish out of there. Donate the fish to a local shelter? I'm sure many would enjoy them as well.

People will wade out and throw cast nets to catch them in Fairfield.

I have buddy who goes out three or four times a year down there and shoots them. He'll come back with 100plus at a time.

You ain't going to wade or throw a cast net much at squaw. Between the rocks brush and gators your will tear your net and shorts.

Night crawlers on a bobber, whenever we want to have a fish fry I go fill my livewell to the brim on my local lake.
If you don't get bit almost immediately move until you do, when you find a big pack of them it will be on every flip of the bobber into the water.

Fish in squaw already have three eye's. What that lake really needs is some peacock bass then we would have our very own amazon basin.
