Just remember bait only in blue zones..... barbless hooks in Red Zones at the LMF. Huevos are good this time of year, as well as any small sz 18-24 BWO or midge.

Risers love small flies - smaller fish mostly in red zones. Can't wait to get out of this office and head up there!

Theres a "bait only" zone?! Does a fly count as bait?

In the Blue zones you can use both. In the Red zones it is barbless and artifical only [can be soft plastics as long as they do not have sents or attractants]

Just got back from Sams Club. I am going to smoke a turkey and brisket before we go so that will take care of two nights, got stuff for burgers and chilli for the other two. Holy crapamoly, almost a $400 bill in that place for breakfast, lunch, supper and snack food and we are not quit through yet.

Since today was not booked, the cabin rental place offered us today for half price so we are headed out in a couple of hours. I think I can hear the trout laughing already at our fat butts in those tight hunting waders trying to catch them.

We had a great time. Deere in the front of the cabin in the mornings, fishing til noon or bit after, great food, kids liked the hot tub and I liked the fire pit. It does not seem to matter how long we get to stay it flies by.

Us fly fishing rookies, more like fly fishing clowns, had fun. My son only fished two days with the fly rod and did not catch anything but I caught a few each day and the largest I have ever caught there on a pink micro egg from Carey. My oldest daughters boyfriend caught several also with a couple of big nice browns on a power worm at spillway. I took my ultra light spinning set up and took my dad to the spillway one afternoon and he tore them up on red hots. He probably caught 10 or more and missed about that many in a little over an hour. I had fun just watching my dad and youngest daughters boyfriend catch them that afternoon, and I got a workout taking off fish and baiting hooks.
