On sale again - 26" and 44" depending on what you want to do. I used my 48" for the first time this week and it worked well with the PA - I would expect the 44" to work well for those with larger yaks who want major slow down. The nylon seems to be a better sock than the PVC - I expect it to last longer, shakes off well - lighter and packs well.

Thanks Roger. Guess I'll be stopping in Allen on the way home (and buying myself an early b-day present).

+1

I have a 44 and am really pleased with it. The dump line makes for an easy recovery too. Great product and an awesome price!

Would the small drift sock be enough to slow me down in my little 10ft Ascend FS10 sit in? I should I just go with the XL?

I'd expect so, Bull.

The hobie has a high profile and we're generally trying to drift slow in open water so we like a little more drag.

The big one rolls up into a pretty small bundle tho.

I think ill go witht he bigger one anyways. I find myself in alot of 15mph+ situations so the big one would probably be better all around. plus it says the small one doesnt come with the drain strap or whatever.

Also after reading reviews people had commented the ratings were overrated and to go bigger anyways.

Not expensive to begin with but I am building a "tackle/rod" cabinet and needed something to hold the rod ends - this will be a lot easier than what I was planning on fabricating. Maybe someone stocks these but never seen them before.

Rod clips

Edit - price is for a set of 16 std or 8 oversize.

8ah 12v battery - $15

Note that there is just a battery and then a battery/charger option. I don't recommend these little charges as anything more than a last resort to save space if you want to pack one along.

Something I found out at Cabelas yesterday. They often carry the items in the store and online at different prices - the online always being the cheaper when different. They will match the in-store price with the online price. For example, I picked up another battery yesterday - it rang up $19.99 but I showed the cashier where it was $14.99 on the website. No problem to change the price and several managers said they will always do this.
