Having fished with Tim Reneau and Ray Hanselman several times at Falcon and Amistad, my next rods are going to be Power Tackle. They swing in the big girls. And no, I am not sponsored by Power Tackle. Above the price range you gave, but worth it. .

You can't catch fish on a rod under 200 bucks everyone knows that, but if you could I would pick up a falcon bucco

Temple fork Outfitters /tfo rods are good rods designed. By Gary loomis 150+Tex and added bonus there warehouse is right here in Dallas Bought one from TW and like it a lot. Kind of strange to buy a rod from a CA online store when I live about 20 miles from the manufacturer though. TFO are excellent rods for the price!

Oldschool, if you have'nt tried a Custom Angle Rod from Dave Settle, you need to get one in your hands. Come into Bargain Hunter and I will show you some in stock, plus I also have the Duckett, Dobyns and others to look at. You have to try the reverse wrap on the guides, makes a world of difference.

My choice would be a dobyns 734. Best all around utility rod out there in my opinion. Savvy is well under your budget, champion just a hair over. Ron
