my question is, how in the world did you get that little guy?

casting net?

and did you catch it and then decide to throw the reaper craw, or vice versa?

either way, you gotta love it when you find the right bait for the right fish!

I was already throwing the bait and just happened to found that little guy floating and noticed he had what looked like a bite mark

Doesn't look like the war mouth I've seen. Love those Xcite baits. Nice catch there!

Not a warmouth. It just looks like a bluegill that was recently dead. One of the ponds I fish has a ton of very dark guys just like that.

I say its just a dead bluegill, sunfish, panfish, perch, who cares. Nice catch. I have several pics of shad and matching cranks from area lakes. Some colors made catch fish and not fisherman haha.

You can see this warmouth has a giant mouth, big enough to thumb - hence the name warmouth. The bluegill in the previous pic has a tiny mouth, guaranteeing it is not a warmouth. It's just a dark bluegill.

For the beating it takes, it's still a really good little lake. Fun to fish.

Yeah it's a Great Lake sure would like the city to make it a 3 fish limit for all tournaments though help out the fishery a lot . Too many fish get abused out there just saying:)
