I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again on the 20th. Lake Tyler has been holding tight with the rains we have received the last couple weekends.. Maybe we can get some more this weekend. From what I have heard the fishing has been a little tough but they are biting. I expect someone to hit the 20 mark.

We are trying to work with Lake Tyler Marina to see what time they will open on the 20th. We'll pass along the info as soon as they let us know.

Still no word yet from Lake Tyler Marina on whether they will open early or not. The guy who works that morning hasn't been in when I have called. I'll try again tomorrow.

Regardless, we will be there by 5:15 for registration and live well checks. Remember, it's $50 cash only. That includes big bass.

It's raining pretty good right now so at least we won't have to worry about not being able to get away from the ramp!

I don't understand why the Marina isn't open earlier on the weekend. You would think they would want to make money.

I don't believe that James I think you will do much better than that. Just look for the same scenario you found on Pines... Under water structure with a shallow crank...

That's the problem I couldn't find any off shore structure and shoreline cover is very limited

I don't know, either. When I called I was told they will open at 8 a.m. unless the guy who is going to be working Sunday morning agrees to come in early. They said from their perspective they open early and not many people come in to eat breakfast.

That's because everyone eats at What a Burger on the way because they know they will be closed.

Since we can't count on the restaurant to be open, I AM BRINGING DONUTS FOR EVERYONE SUNDAY MORNING, or at least until they run out. Bring your own coffee and at least you can get a belly full of dough to help keep you warm...or maybe sleepy.

No, I am fishing the BLT Saturday. I will be too tired Sunday to fish after I spend all day Saturday trying to catch a keeper.
