Turbo guides .... electric blue thread? I just replaced two guides on my spinning rod musef and with turbo guides and electric blue thread Charlie will make me look silly if I fish next to him like in the past. Got the job done OK but I wouldna wanted to pay very much for the job I did. And yes .... tamales are good anytime with anything Pfft, I wouldn't worry about it Bobby. Besides, Charlie's Gymanastic skill level is nowhere near yours.

i'll let ya fish next to me bobby yours prolly looks better than my lectric gray duct tape ! but it does cover where I made the twist with bailing wire when I formed the eyes !I guess I should call mine RUSTic Bermuda eyes. it's nice when you can fix your fence with your rod building supply's

Ha ha ha yall are very funny. 90% of most trips I fish with my Bar Bar all black stealth jig rod that has zero bling. The electric blue under wraps were to highlight the skills of a buddy that does rod building here locally in the DFW area.
I'm adding magnets to a couple of my conventional reels to prevent spool over runs/ back lashes when you pitch out a jig out or cast a lure. I can fix yours on the way out if you like I will have extra magnets, since the magnets are epoxied to the spool and reel end plates it's not adjustable but it will do the job. It's good for bottom fishing also because you can let the spool go and not worry about tangles if a fish stops your bait on the way down or you hit bottom without your thumb on the spool.

High tech fishing ..... do we allow that on these trips? Should Charlie be handicapped Brian? Seems almost unfair when Joe's catchin 'em with a beer in one hand.

Can someone explain how the Feds count recreational Red Snapper catch?

No I have held off so far... Sadly, common sense can only hold out for so long :-)

If I had Brian H money instead of Bryan S money I would have a couple of Makairas Which is exactly why I don't have any money

Don't worry Jim I will bring my hot rod metal frame 116H & Torium 30 so you and Bobby will have a back up. Should I bring my old school Daiwa (E-glass) boat rod just in case you guys have bailing wire or duck tape failures?

Wow! Trips close... Looking forward to fishing with everyone... If we have a similar bite as last months moon trip.. We will do well, if the Tuna have held... YFT where at all water columns top - medium and deep... Capt Russell is convinced that if fishermen will continue to do jigging & Top water at same time. Bite stays alive...

The real key has always been catching black fins on jigs and keeping a good chum line going that keeps the Yellow Fins close to the boat. If we have the fliers like we did late at Gunnison then the Top bite will be really good. I'm looking forward to seeing you crusty old farts, it's been some time since I've fished with most of you.
