Cliff Brown owner of Texas Boat World and one of the promoters for this event announced last night that due to the government shutdown Fishing for Freedom 2013 will be cancelled. Just one more slap in the face of the men and women that serve or have served this country.

I am disappointed since I am one of these soldier's but now I look forward to next year as I will be a boater switching places and giving back and taking a soldier out. I have always looked forward to this and it saddens me that an exception could not be made for soldiers but they did it for the flw everstart series! Well my rant is over and I'm just ready to retire and be done with this government! !

I was/am signed up for this event but have not received anything concerning the event being back on, neither has my soldier. I even looked on the marine outlet website and the only thing there is the cancelation of the event.
