I keep hearing they are still not currently pulling water out of Fork for water supply to Dallas as it was intended when the lake was built. At least the meeting should confirm if this is true or not. Other than that the lake was built as a reservoir for water supply. I would say what is hurting the level at Fork and all other lakes in Texas is lack of heavy rainfall not water being pulled as intended.

If you object to water being taken as intended when the lake was built maybe Wood and Rains county should have built the lake with funds from the local tax base grin

One topic I'd recommend.

No new communities planned with St. Augustine grass. In full sun, St. Augustine will die in North Central Texas every summer unless it receives a ridiculous amount of water. Mine died long ago (because I refuse to water more frequently than once per week) and I replaced it with Bermuda seed. Bermuda actually goes kind of brown/dormant in July/August then comes back in September, so you don't have to water it while it's dormant. Another good options would be Buffalo grass.

Continuing developments with St. Augustine isn't sustainable.

Come out to west Texas and look at our lakes OH Ivie,Hubbard creek,PK and many more. Midland,Odessa and many other towns are sucking Ivie dry,and they have 1 ramp open. Our good Rick Perry allows the BRA to sell water to the plants on the coast and to hell with the business people on PK and Granbury,I would be tickled with 6' low.

They were saying on KMOO that Dallas owns 70% of the water in Lake Fork no matter what the water level

Guys I will say this I work for a city on the water side an I will tell you this that it just isn't dallas that waters when its raining its every were! Also its just not fork that is getting water pulled from it for water supply! There are many other lakes in the area that citys pull from that are suffering as well! With the population growing as fast as it is its just not going to get any better! Also with out rain it doesn't help!

What you say is exactly why year round water restrictions should be in place and enforced anyone watering while it is raining should be fined.

Cooper has almost 70% of it's water gone and they are still drawing more out of it.

Report anyone watering on their non-watering days. There is an app on my phone!

It won't change anything, a waste of time.

Personally I respect the guys that are gonna show up. I wish I could. Cant understand why anyone will get on here and say its waste time instead of going to the meeting if they could.

like Cam said: Woohoo! Rumor debunking

At least we get the opportunity to hear the truth whatever it may turn out to be.

As long as we all hear it the same.

You should be glad they built the lake in the first place for water supply.

What is sad is you never see Ray Hubbard low. Too much money and influence there I guess.
