Glad I'm not the only one who's had a trap in the eyebrow! Ripping grass off and straight up to the eyebrow!
That eye in the pic is toast. Terrible! Can't replace an eyeball!

Had a guy in the back of my boat one time at Fork that hung up his T-rig. He never said a word to me. I am steadily trolling down the bank looking for fish on beds. He is letting the line get tighter & tighter as the boat moves along until, POW!!

I hear him scream out and I look back. He is holding his face in his hands! He screams, IT HIT ME IN THE EYE!!! But he won't move his hands away from his face. At this point I am afraid to look... His hook & weight are lying in the bottom of the boat so I know he's not hooked...

He finally moves his hands and he is a bloody mess. Blood is pouring from a big gash on the bridge of his nose where the bullet weight hit him.

He was not wearing glasses. Had he been it may have taken the brunt of the force. Who knows...

But it was too close to his eye for comfort, that is for sure! We went into the marina and took him to the ER in Quitman. They put a butterfly bandage on it and we were back on the water a couple hours later.

For you guys that wear regular seeing glasses. You have got to get a pair of Rx Costa sunglasses. You can wear them all day inside or out. They are kinda costly but well worth it. I put them on in the morning that them off at night.

Wow/Chingado!! Could some one elaborate as to this mishap occurring while unhooking a fish, a hang-up or a miss?
