Sad, frustrating, infuriating deal.

Prayers for his family. Sad that someone will kill a man for some fishing gear.

This is horrible and truly a sad day prayers sent to his family and friends, I was suppose to b down there but decided on a different tour. I have had numerous phone calls about this, what scares me is the time of day it happened. I have some friends down there and they are pretty nervous on where to stay some have already had to move hotels because of what they have seen. Does anyone know of safe place or places to stay away from I'm sure they would appreciate it.

According to the news report, it happened at his motel in Jackson, Mississippi.

My son spent a weekend in Jackson about 3 years ago. He said it was the scariest 2 days of his life.

My wife and I had a reservation at a hotel in Jackson. We got there about midnight one night. We checked out before 5:00 the next morning. It looked like something out of 1980s Beirut. When your hotel has a razor wire fence around it it's not a good sign.

I agree. I stayed there earlier in the year for a business convention and it was a ragged, run down town with lots of scary characters walking around.
