Welcome. Don't forget to stop buy a gun store and pick yourself up a nice gun. LOL! All those lakes that you mention are great lakes. Just don't forget to consider Lake Texoma on the TX and OK border. Great lake for striped bass. Oh and Lake Tawokoni got some big hybrids.

King, most trout stocking done in Texas is in community ponds & similar waters where the bass just don't have enough forage to get huge. Also the trout are quite small - 1/4 to 1/3 pound average.

I do remember trout stocking at places like Poway lake, watching 2# to 8# trout being stocked ... and the HUGE bass that would be lurking at the edge of the dock area watching for the new trout ...
