We'll have complete year-to-date standings up soon. Right now James Haskins is leading with around 38 pounds and Coy Spencer is second with 27-something. Those two have hammered some fish during the first two touraments. Anyone who had a limit Sunday at Tyler did a fantastic job on a really tough lake.

We have paid out $1,260 in cash at the ramp in our first two tournaments. In addition to the payouts based on number of entries at the next two tournaments, we still have $1,100 in cash and other bonuses to be paid after the Martin Creek tournament in December.

For $50 entry fee touraments against relatively small fields those are pretty decent payouts.

We hope to see more of you on Palestine on November 16. Thanks to all who have fished.

Here are the top 12 in our standings through two of four tournaments. Remember our Angler of the Year, the fisherman with the highest combined total weight for the series, wins a $500 bonus in addition to per-tournament payouts at the ramp. Our second place angler of the series wins a $300 bonus and the biggest bass wins another $300 provided the guy who catches it has fished at least three of the four tournaments.

1. James Haskins, 38.02 total pounds, big bass 9.06 pounds
2. Coy Spencer, 27.69
3. Tom Ward, 16.79
4. Garry Winton, 16.46
5. Mickey Cauthron, 15.05
6. Keith Davis, 14.70
7. Vince Alibrando, 12.85
8. Frank Burkett, 11.08
9. Jason James, 10.57
10. Dave Cahal, 9.92
11. Rusty Russell, 9.25
12. Jim Brack, 6.53

We'll be on Lake Palestine on November 16. The lake is full and in beautiful shape. Sign-in and weigh-in will be at Lake Palestine Resort, but remember trailering is allowed. We'll be there for registration by 5:15 a.m. Tournament hours are 6:30 to 3:00.

We look forward to seeing everyone there.

No, no off limits.

We'll be at Lake Palestine Resort by 5:15 Saturday morning for registration and livewell checks. Once you have paid and been checked you can trailer to any ramp...just don't leave that ramp until 6:30.

Be back with your chip on our check-in board by 3 p.m.

We look forward to seeing everyone Saturday.

Only two days until the 3rd in our series of 4 open tournaments operated by Tyler Bass Club.

We'll be on Lake Palestine this Saturday, November 16. No membership is required. Entry fee is $50 and we will pay back 90% at the ramp as soon as the weigh-in is over.

Sign-in and weigh-in are at Lake Palestine Resort starting at 5:15 a.m. After boat check you are free to trailer to any ramp. You can leave the ramp from which you launch at 6:30. You must be checked in at Lake Palestine Resort by 3:00 p.m. If your chip is not on our board by 3:01 you can't weigh your fish.

Thanks to all who have fished as well as our sponsors...Shipp's Marine in Gladewater, Stewart's Donnybrook Automotive, Academy, Porter's Sporting Goods, and our individual sponsors.

We look forward to seeing everyone Saturday. Call if you have questions.

And no, I'm not bringing donuts this time!

Yes, the tournament is definitely still on. Looks like we will probably have a pretty good turnout. $50 entry fee, cash only, one person per boat. Entry fee includes big bass and we will pay cash at the ramp after weigh-in. 90% payback.

We had 25 entries Saturday. Kenny Stewart won with 13.81. James Haskins was second with 11.75 and Coy Spencer was third with 10.77. Mickey Cauthron won big bass for the second month in a row with a 4.99.

We paid $1,125 cash at the ramp when weigh-in was over.

Thanks to all who fished and we look forward to seeing you at Martin Creek for our final event of the series on December 14.

We'll have updated season standings posted soon.

These events are being put on by Tyler Bass Club with the help of our great sponsors...Shipp's Marine, Stewart's Donnybrook Automotive, Academy, Porters, and the members of Tyler Bass Club. We start our 2014 season in January and welcome new members, so if you like the way we're doing things come fish with us.

Yes, all tournaments are opens. Our rules allow fishing one or all tournaments. The only thing you won't be eligible for is the season-end bonus of $300 for big bass of the series. You had to fish at least three of the four to qualify for that.

Your $50 entry fee will, however, get you into the big bass pot for Martin Creek only. Big bass won $125 on Palestine. With 25 entries we paid three places for stringer weight and the payout for those three was a combined $1,000.

Come on out and fish with us, we'd love to have you. Tell your buddies to come out, too. There should be a lot of fish caught at Martin Creek.

Thanks
