Unbelievable! How can you write someone a ticket if there is no sign up? Some people know cedar springs is closed and launch anyway. Most people have no clue. The signs were put up. Idiots took them down. So legal notice was given but the Idiots who took them down placed other people at risk of getting their vehicles towed and being ticketed for being there. So if you want to blame anybody, blame the Idiots who took the signs down. It's a shame the Idiots were not caught taking the signs down. no , actually it is a shame that we don't just fire the whole bunch that is the problem to begin with. bo

Those same people who voted the Idiots into office are probably the ones tearing down the signs which can get other people in trouble. So you can't blame the Idiots in Elected Positions if you helped elect them and keep electing them, no matter how stupid they act while in office. The final blame lays on the people who elected the Idiots into office.

I even posted the picture of the sign on the TFF....it was put out Tuesday morning. I bet that sign didn't make it 24 hours!

Unbelievable! Most people have no clue. Unless they live with their head in the sand they know Pines is closed along with all Corps Lakes across the country. It's been on every local news station, front page of the newspaper, and on the TFF daily!! Texoma is not closed!

BBT - You know as well as I do, 410Man will stop at nothing to get on the water and fish! LOL I will take ALL 4 boats and LAUNCH at one time. Im not sure they all float and the trailer tires have air BUTT I could do it. I may try Woodies ramp.

Sounds to me like that county needs to run that Sheriff out on a rail and get a new one.
A Sheriff is locally elected and should not be following orders from Feds.
BTW - It took me a while to figure out what a sitation is.

Tim, someone posted a pic of the dam ramp at Texoma with cones and a sign. Private ramps remain open as far as I know.
As far as the signs go....apparently they go fast. Apparently they make great Man Cave decoration.

Wow...he just missed us then. We were on LOP at Cedar Springs on Tuesday and Thursday this week! And we were there from sun up to sun set Tuesday, and sun up till about 3pm on Thursday! We did give thought to not going, but when we saw no signs, no locks, and no barricades, we decided to go on and launch. We have an annual pass, so not like we skipped out on paying. Sure woulda sucked to pull up to the ramp to find no truck or trailer to load the boat up on. Plenty of other boats were there each day. So he better have 6-10 tow trucks with him if he really plans to tow folks!
What I want to know is why on earth an Upshur Co deputy is driving all the way out to Cedar Springs to enforce a federal closure of an unmanned, unlocked, un-barricaded boat ramp? So now the taxpayers of Upshur county are paying extra for a deputy to make runs over to the far edge of his jurisdictional area to chase away law breaking boaters. Seems like a poor use of resources.

Sorry we as a gov't suck and due to our suckiness you cannot use this ramp until we come up with some sucky solution for our suck a** actions?
